Executive Chef, Lawrence Letrero, and Pastry Chef, Hetty Arts, have crafted a tempting modern American menu following The Refinery’s concept of elevating the familiar through skillful introduction of subtleties and distinctions. Chef Letrero attended Kendall College’s Culinary Arts program after having earned his B.A. from Wayne State University. More recently, Chef Letrero was the opening Sous Chef at River North’s Untitled restaurant where he helped develop a 1920′s inspired menu with a modern twist, garnering a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide Chicago.
Also an industry veteran, Chef Hetty Arts enjoyed her past experience on the pastry team at the critically acclaimed Eleven Madison Park in New York City currently ranked among the top five restaurants in the world. While contributing to their 3 Michelin star rating, Chef Arts participated in one of the finest pastry programs in the United States. She later moved to Chicago and joined the team at the Four Seasons Hotel.
